I almost forgot... I'm still a blogger! I might be super busy with work & family, but I have a blog to attend to. ;)
I just attended the 1st Media Congress in the Philippines. There's the Ad Congress and, now, we have the Media Congress! ♥♥♥
The Media Specialists Association of The Philippines (MSAP) held the first-ever MSAP Media Congress last January 28, 2013 at The Newport Theater in Resorts World Manila, with the theme, “Brave New World: Embracing the Media Revolution.”
It was a whole-day event where there were talks & discussions from the leaders in media and high profile clients on the latest trends and best practices in the various medium: OOH, Print, Digital and Broadcast.
Delegates were from the whole advertising industry and there were students delegates, too, who became lively when DJs from different radio stations started giving away prizes and Kapamilya Stars started performing, esp. Sam Milby. 😉
Jeez, I forgot to take photos of the Major Sponsors' booths:
And a lot more.
There were games and lots of prizes (network's gift packs, notebooks, mugs, shirts, stuff toys, Body Shop's gift packs, hotel or shopping GCs, Swatch watches, 0+ phones, mini iPads, Samsung SIIIs, Samsung Note IIs, etc). Nobody went home empty-handed. J♥
More than that, we also brought home more knowledge about the media aspect of the advertising world. With us are the latest updates about our Media industry, especially how each traditional medium sees the future with the evolution of the Digital Media.
I agree with MBC's AVP, Santi Elizalde, that Philippines is not a 3rd world country but a developing country. C
Sad but true:
People in the developed countries (Europe, Japan) still read the papers (broadsheets/dailies) while Philippines' readership is declining. L
