Working Mama's Firmoo Glasses Giveaway

I'm thankful again to my mommy friend and fellow blogger, Glaiza (Moomy Musings), for sharing Working Mama's Firmoo Glasses Giveaway.

I really love wearing and collecting sunglasses. I stopped collecting after giving birth to my daughter 4 years ago. I only bought sunglasses twice after that. The only reason I bought the second one is because I lost the 1st one at Disney World Resort's Epcot theme park.

I would love to have these Firmoo Sunglasses.

You, too, could win Firmoo Glasses. Join Working Mama's Firmoo Glasses Giveaway. For full details and mechanics, visit http://dickvincedorry.blogspot.com/2012/05/firmoo-glasses-review-giveaway.html.

My Party Suppliers and Venues

I usually do my invites, tarp and souvenirs. I really enjoy doing them.

But now that I'm a busy mom, I started looking for suppliers for my giveaways/souvenirs. But I still do my lay-out/design, except for the tarpaulin which is done by my most generous brother, Brian.

Here are the list of my suppliers:

For the venues, I had Aberdeen Court along Makati Avenue, Makati City for Mhia's Baptismal/Christening reception. The baptismal cake is included in the package. There were free souvenirs (purple ceramic baby shoe) also included in the package. The food was good and everything went fine.

August 2008

For Dominic's baptismal/christening, I had 2 venues. The main venue after the baptismal rites was at Max's Restaurant (Pacita 1, San Pedro, Laguna) and availed their "Ninong ko si Max" promo wherein every year, until Dom reaches the age of 7, he gets Christmas and birthday presents from Ninong Max. We also expect to get a special 15% discount on Dom's 1st and 7th birthday celebrations at any Max’s Restaurant in the country.

August 2011
The second venue was for the post-baptism lunch for my office and media friends who weren't able to attend the baptism in Laguna. We had it at my favorite venue, Santuario De San Antonio's Multipurpose Hall (Mckinley Rd., Forbes Park, Makati City).

The food was catered by Tema Catering. They always provide us with good food during our corporate event so I decided to stick with them, plus they have a very good service.

For my kids birthday parties, I always go for Jollibee since I could get discounts for food up to 20% off.

For my daughter's 1st birthday party back in 2007, We had it at Jollibee Makati Ave. I was able to get 20% off in everything, though normally GCs are only applied on food purchases. The manager during that time was very considerate and we also love the branch's birthday gift for Mhia -- a kiddie wooden chair with storage. :)
June 2009

On Mhia's 2nd birthday, we decided to look for a branch that has better parking. My hubby and I decided to have the party at Jollibee Metropark - Bluewave. But we hated the service from the time we made the reservation but it was too late to back out. And I have to remind them of their birthday gift for Mhia -- just a hotdog pillow.

June 2010

I found out that gifts for the celebrants depends on the branch. Anyway, I spent an average of P10,000 for food every party.

On Mhia's 3rd birthday, we still looked for a better Jollibee branch with better parking space so we decided to have the party at Jollibee Global City. Their gift for Mhia was another pillow.

June 2011
Service was ok but not as friendly as the staff at Jollibee Makati Ave. Plus I realized that Jollibee Makati Ave still have the best birthday present for the celebrant so my hubby and I decided to have Dominic's 1st birthday party at the Makati Ave branch and I was so right! :) They gave Dom a kiddie pool for summer. It was spacious enough for him to fit inside together with her Ate Mhia. :)

Our cake providers were always Goldilocks and Red Ribbon for Mhia's Jollibee birthday parties.

But for Dom's christening/baptism, I got his cake from Cookielicious Baked Products.

For Dominic's 1st birthday, I got his cake from my schoolmate, Aikko of Bake Happy. I found out about her thru my brother, Brian. Aikko's older sister was my brother's classmate in highschool.

I also didn't avail loot bags from Jollibee Makati Ave. for Dom's 1st birthday party. Instead, I provided personalized looties for those who RSVP'ed and attended the party.

Personalized Perfumes. I didn't have time to make them so I asked help from my friend, Daisy. :) I got the wrong kind of sticker for the label that I had to put adhesive tape around it. Hahaha.

I was so contented and, still, fascinated that for Mhia's 4th birthday this June, I'm getting the same suppliers and venue for her party -- like what we had for Dom's 1st Birthday party. I'll start doing the lay-out tonight for the looties. :)

Dominic Goes Organic

Seeing her Ate Mhia munch on a junk food would really make him curious and wanting more to have a bite of whatever her Ate eats. And this is what we are trying to avoid.

2 years ago, I had difficulty finding munchies and finger food for Mhia. But today, with the help of Facebook & my mommy friends, I was able to find the perfect finger food or snacks for my baby & toddler.

To make sure Dom is getting enough nutrition like her Ate Mhia, I switched to Organic muchies and snacks. :)

At first, I tried Happy Baby's Organic Puffs (greens) which I bought at Healthy Options, Rustan's Makati.

Dominic loves it very much so I decided to get him another pack and, this time, I also bought Earth Best's Teething Biscuit.

Since my son is enjoying his healthy food snacks, I need to find a cheaper provider of these products. Thanks to Mommy Glaiza who introduced Ygo's Organic. Check out Moomy MusingsYgo's Organics : Feeding Need Not Be Expensive. I was able to get these healthy organic snacks for a cheaper price! :)

Now, I don't have to worry on what my toddlers will be eating. Thanks to these toddler-friendly organic snacks. :)
