Lots of Fun Stuff and a Winning from Asian Food Channel's A Leap of Plate

One of the events I always look forward to is Asian Food Channel's event. I missed last year's event though, since I was on maternity leave.

Love this Invitation from AFC for the event
Anyway, AFC always comes up with new, creative ideas on how they'll be presenting their new programs. They let us engage in exciting activities. Advertisers and their respective advertising media agencies were invited to AFC's A Leap of Plate held in Dusit Thani Manila on February 28, 2012.

Their guest Chef for this event was Chef Chuck Hughes. He shared some of his recipes which I took a whole video of it.

The way they did the raffle was very creative. AFC had lots of stuff to giveaway. We were given candy lollies with number on it, and that will be our raffle stubs. So we were advised not to eat them. Hahaha. Lucky Lolly #75 got me a Braun Hand Mixer! Lve it and can't wait to use it! :)

Aside from the raffle, they had Cake Decorating contest where we were given plain round cake on every table with all the decorating stuff we needed and one of the judges was the AFC's Next Celebrity Chef, Chef Dino Ferrari. We can even bring home the cake we decorated, and all the stuff we used -- plus the fruit centerpiece on our table. :))

TADA!!! Our cake was done in 10 minutes time limit.

We didn't win but we, indeed, had so much fun! :) And, besides, the giveaways/souvenirs were pretty nice. I didn't get my luggage tag though.

Mommy Dilemma: Walking Wings or Moon Walker

My back started to ache from bending over while assisting my 9-month old son to walk. So I started looking for walking assistant at Landmark Makati last weekend.

I was a little surprised to find lots of options for the "Moon Walker" but only 2 options for "Walking Wings" - UpSpring Baby & Baby Easy-Walk. I was expecting more options for walking wings. Prices range between P400-500 for Moon Walker.

UpSpring Baby's Walking Wings costs P1200+. And the only available color is the pink one.

Baby Easy-Walk by Child Care, which was made here in the Phil, costs P99.00 only.

There were so many options to choose from. The Sales person told me that most parents opted for the Moon Walker. They even tried it on a baby who's just starting to walk. So I ended up buying the Sesame Beginnings Baby Walker. Original price was P449.75 less 10%, so it was just P404.77.

I tried it to my son as soon as we got home. It seems like he doesn't like it so we'll be trying it on him till tom. If he doesn't really like the moon walker, I'm thinking of exchanging it for a Walking Wings. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my son will get used to it.
Well, mommies what do you suggest? Which of the two walking assistants have you tried on your babies? :)
