Permanent Blowdry with Salon De Orient and Haircut with Piandré

I had my first Permanent Blowdry last July 2013 with Salon De Orient, which I got from Metrodeal.

Before having the procedure done, I did a research. I found out that the treatment fades in 3 months with proper care, which means using shampoos with no SLS.

Having this knowledge, I used Human Heart Nature's Strengthening Shampoo & Moisturizing Shampoo alternately. I was surprised that it could last more than 5 months.

I was satisfied with my first permanent blowdry. I forgot, though, the name of the guy in ponytail who did my hair. I recommended it to my sister.

I had my 2nd permanent blowdry last February 2014. I was kinda disappointed with how it was done. Half my hair was done perfectly and the other half still got waves. This time, it was the lady with eyeglasses who did my hair.

Then my sister had her first permanent blowdry. We got her voucher from Ensogo. I found out through her that the one who did my hair back in July 2013 was Ricky.

I was supposed to go back to Salon De Orient and have the waves fixed (I'm thinking of requesting Ricky to fix it) but I'm not sure if they'll entertain my complaint. Good thing, I was able to pass by Piandre Salon at Greenbelt 1 and Mr. Greg did a good job on my hair. The haircut adds volume to my hair, which I really wanted in the first place. It's kinda shorter than I expected but I absolutely love it.

So the next time I'll have my Permanent Blowdry, I'll have my hair cut done by Mr. Greg first then head to Salon De Orient for the Permanent Blowdry by Ricky. ;)

Philips Avent has been my partner since I got pregnant with my daughter in 2007. I just love the quality of their products. My daughter and son also love the new Natural Avent bottles. That's why, every year, we visit the LJS Bodega Sale to get their best deals ever.

This year, there will be lots of brands that'll be joining the said event and you could enjoy great discounts. And Philips AVENT products will be up to 50% OFF.

So I'll see you at the LJS Warehouse Sale 2013 on November 7-10, 2013 at LJS Warehouse, 3555 Magistrado Arellano St., Bacood, Sta Mesa, Manila.

My Little Angel named Sean Kristof

My apologies to my dear followers for not being able to update my blog for the last 3 months or so.

It's been almost 3 months since I had my miscarriage with my third child. Honestly, I don't really like talking about it to anybody but I just want to share the dream I had before I lost my baby.

I found out I was pregnant on the last week of June, though no embryo yet. I had to wait till July 16 to make sure there's a baby before I break the news to everyone. My doctor even told me that day to have a 1-2 weeks bedrest -- as in total bedrest. I was only allow for bathroom break. But I lost him the next day.

This was the last part of my dream. I could hardly move from the embrace of a little boy that I had to start calling my husband in my dream. He heard me calling him "Dad!" again and again. He woke me up and I started to feel the blood flowing so I rushed to the bathroom. Then, I lost my baby.

My husband thought that the baby in my dream was our baby. Many believed that it was his way of saying goodbye to me.

I know he was a boy... so I want to name him "Sean Kristof".

I prayed and wanted him to know that he may not be planned but he's not unwanted. I don't want any child to feel unwanted. I'm just glad he was able to hug me to say goodbye. I still tell him that we -- his dad, me and his Ate Mhia & Kuya Dominic -- love him so much.

I really would like to thank my husband and my 2 kids for being super supportive with our 3rd baby. They were the most supportive along with my office friends.

Bullying & Racism: Not A Laughing Matter

As I read from Nica Bells blog, The Video That Started It All, I felt bad on how Katherine Ryan (twitter: @Kathbum) used Filipino children to mock a cosmetic company.

A great comedian uses their creative minds to make people laugh without the need to hurt others' feelings, and trying hard comedians just simple bully other people to do that. Why not use themselves (or their own race, perhaps) as a joke to make people laugh, and not those innocent children? Remember what Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people."

Too bad these kind of people think they got sense of humor, but they just don't have it. I guess we have to understand, it not easy to be smart and funny at the same time, and only few got that. But it's always been so easy to pick on someone else, and they think it's funny! What she did was bullying by being a racist. >:(
An excerpt from The Game of Humor: A Comprehensive Theory of Why We Laugh by Charles R. Gruner

I'm a mom and bullying innocent children is a BIG NO-NO! And Race-related joke is overly offensive, especially when placing Filipino children, or any children, lower than the animals. >:(
